Common Boundaries
The Theory and Practice of Environmental Property
Who has rights to access and use the environment? Are these rights just? Do they lead to fair and sustainable outcomes? Michael Cox examines the theory and practice of environmental property rights, exploring a diversity of different arrangements and outcomes around the world, as he discussed in his latest book 'Common Boundaries'. At the core of this ‘Meet the Expert’ workshop, we will focus on the concept of community, and how it differs from broader society. Cox explores the different ways communities are formed and interact with each other and the environment. All interested are invited to discuss current challenges and opportunities with Mr. Cox stemming from his research.
Please register to attend by August 24 using the registration button to the right or email meet-the-expert@uni-bonn.de. The number of participants is limited to 25 people.
The workshop will be held in English.
