Project Virtual Brain Twin
Gerrit Tiefenthal studied philosophy, history and political science at the Universities of Münster and Dortmund. Since 2019, he has been working on his doctorate under the supervision of Oliver Flügel-Martinsen at Bielefeld University on Paul Feyerabend's Philosophie of science and politics. He also worked as a research assistant at the Auslandsgesellschaft in Dortmund, where he led a BMBF project on political education in urban areas, and at Bielefeld University, where he was involved in the conception and application of an interdisciplinary SFB. Since 2024, he has been working at the Centre for Life Ethics, where he is in charge of the ethical sub-project of the Virtual Brain Twin Project funded by the European Commission. His research interests lie in the history of ideas, political philosophy and philosophy of science.
